Research activities

François Horlin is leading the team working on signal processing for digital communications, localization and passive radars.
Based on his research activities, he has acquired a deep experience in the design of new air interfaces and transceiver architectures for emerging communications systems.
More specifically, he worked on :

  • The design of the modulation and access techniques, and of the receiver (DS-CDMA, OFDM, CPM...)
  • The multiple antenna, MIMO extension (diversity, spatial multiplexing, SDMA, distributed MIMO...)
  • The digital compensation of the analog front-end for low cost transceivers (model, impact and compensation of non-idealities, synchronization structure...)
He is currently working on the design of localization and passive radar systems.
